Learn To Play - Make New Friends

We welcome new bowlers and visitors at Breakers Bowling Club. So join us for a game of bowls. Our clubhouse provides a relaxed social atmosphere for members and visitors alike and prides itself on its community spirit.

Never played bowls before? Come along give bowls a try – coaching is FREE and spare bowls are available for you to use. You will find the game enjoyable, sociable and suitable for people all ages and skills.

Bowls is an outdoor game that is mainly played as a team game giving you the opportunity to enjoy the company of others and to make new friends. As a bowler you will always be welcome as a visitor at any Bowling Club in Australia where you can enjoy a game with the locals.

Bowls is a sport for all ages with active participants ranging from teenagers to mature aged bowlers in their late eighties. More and more young people are now playing bowls and our state and national representatives include bowlers in the 30 years and under age bracket.

Bowls is a simple game with few rules and is easy to learn. As a new bowler you will be provided with free coaching by a qualified coach to get you started. You can then participate in our social matches which are played on several days each week. If you have a competitive spirit you may chose to advance to club championships and interclub competitions as your skills improve. The Pennants Competition is a stepping stone to the Zone and State Championships. Many clubs also host one and two day tournaments with open invitation for other clubs to participate.

Pick up an application form for membership at the front desk at Breakers Country Club or send us a message from the column on the left and we will send you on
